Distopías cotidianas

Distopías cotidianas es un proyecto sobre esos momentos del día en que salimos a la calle o vamos a un centro comercial y la realidad se parece más a una película de ciencia ficción que a cualquier otra cosa. En los centros comerciales y sus aledaños podemos entrever hacia qué tipo de mundo nuestra sociedad va evolucionando, no necesariamente hacia lo positivo. La cámara está ahí para captarlos. Nuestros hábitos de ocio y compra son ya precursores de ese futuro distópico.

Distopías cotidianas is a project about those moments in the day when we go on the street or in a mall and reality looks like a science fiction movie more than anything else. At the malls and their surroundings we can have a glimpse towards what kind of world our society is evolving, not necessarily for the best.The camera is there to capture it. Our shopping and leisure habits today are already precursors of that dystopian future.

Personalmente siempre me ha gustado la ciencia ficción. Tal vez por eso en mi cabeza hay un establecido un imaginario de mundos alternativos que mi proyecto quiere explicar a través de elementos cotidianos.

Personally I have always liked science fiction. Maybe that´s why in my head there are some image references of alternative worlds that my project wants to explain using day to day elements.
