I am Blanca Ortiz de Pablo
Hi there!
and you can find me as @depablette on Facebook and on Instagram. I am from Barcelona, but I live in Luxembourg. After 17 years working at one of the European Institutions as IT Engineer, I went in early retirement this year. Now I dedicate fully to my passions, among others: photography and attending live music performances.
About
I love live music performances and some years ago I started photographing the concerts I attended as amateur. My intention is always to capture the way the audience feels about the performance, the spirit of it, as I perceived it. I heavily process photos to recreate this image I have in my head. I usually take pictures, very seldom videos.
I always try not to be disruptive with the rest of the concert goers or the performers. I am attending as general public I do not use a professional camera but a good quality compact one (Ricoh GR III) or a mirrorless (Olympus PEN EP-7). After some years of practicing concert photography I have developed my skills and a personal style of shooting. If you find my work interesting I can also work as professional in the photo pit and shoot with my professional-level cameras (Pentax K-1).
